Introduced to the snow removal industry in 2008, the Buyer Insurance Guarantee program (B.I.G.) has revolutionized salt purchasing options available to snow removal contractors.

The B.I.G. program allows snow fighters to secure a guaranteed salt supply for the entire winter at a set price before the beginning of the season. WGS works with individuals to determine salt needs using historic salt usage levels. Then with a minimum down payment, WGS guarantees that salt amount throughout the entire winter, no exceptions. At season’s end, snow removal contractors have the option to purchase the unused salt supply minus their down payment, or forfeit the minimal down payment and walk away from their unused supply with no worries of what to do with the leftovers.

To take advantage of the B.I.G. program for next year’s winter, participants must enroll by October 15, 2010.
